Stand in circle….
Facilitator: Tonight we join our hands, hearts and souls as we place _______________(pet’s name) in the center of our circle, knowing that they have already gone over the
PRAYER (All) …God, Creator of all living things, we ask that as we send Reiki to these precious souls, the healing warmth of love will flow into our broken hearts and into the hearts of others who had pets that have passed over. Give us your strength and comfort. We also pray that the soft glow of our love will part the clouds of grief and sorrow and surround the soul of _________________ (pet’s name).
May excitement reign supreme as wagging tails, ecstatic purrs and soft gentle fur feel our touch once again. May they know the gratitude we hold in our hearts for their faithfulness and the gift of unconditional love as they are forever remembered. We know that our separation is only temporary….the silver cord that connects us through time and space can never be broken. AMEN.
Candle lighting: (Each person individually place their beloved pet in the center of the circle as the rest of us beam Reiki. As you do this, say anything you like, take as long as you want, talk to them, tell them your feelings…..tell us about them….tell us how you feel.)
Candle #1: ( light candle in honor of pet)
Silence: A moment of silence as we beam healing Reiki into the circle.
(All) I will not look back to the time of sorrow.
I will not look for today for there is longing.
I will look forward for there is OUR tomorrow.
Candle #2: Beloved Other Pets Who Have Gone On Before and Those of Family and Friends:
(Each of us place the names of any animals we had before or those of friends and family who are ill or have already crossed the bridge as a tribute to them and their loving parents.
Silence: A moment of silence as we beam healing Reiki into the circle.
(All) The Candles being lit tonight
Cast a soft and welcome flame.
And draw our loved ones to the light,
As we call to them by name…..
(Each of us in turn calls out the name of their beloved angel).

Imagine spirits taking flight
For a moment our souls entwine.
Say not Good Bye, but know in our hearts
Will be together in some Brighter Time.
Candle #3: (Facilitator): We pay tribute and honor all of the homeless, forgotten, abandoned, abused and hunted animals. For the nameless animals who gave their lives for others, for research, food, and suffered and died for our entertainment as a result of humankind’s inhumanity, we light this candle. Since they knew no love on this earth plane, we send each of them enough love to last an eternity. We send the light and love of healing Reiki to them.
Silence: A moment of silence as we beam healing Reiki into the circle.
(All) ….May the Higher Powers that be, forgive the cruelty of man. As our love shines brightly through the galaxy, may the angels smile upon us and know that for a brief moment, we have put aside worldly differences to bond as one.
