Full Moon Ritual  

A. Cast the Circle:  (Leader walks around the circle using a prayer feather as an athame)

   All:  We conjure this a circle power, energy, truth, and vision.

          We conjure our sacred space between the visible and invisible worlds. 

1. Guardians of the East, power of air, we invite you to join our circle. 
2. Guardians of the South, power of fire, we invite you to join our circle. 
3. Guardians of the West, power of Water, we invite you to join our circle. 
4. Guardians of the North, power of Earth, we invite you to join our circle. 
5. Father Sky and Mother Earth and Sister-Grandmother Moon, we invite you to join our circle. 

B.  Light Candle:  (Leader asks a volunteer to light candle)

All:  The fire is lit; the ritual is begun, in love and peace....

C.  Blessing:

1.      May the powers of the One, the source of all creation, all pervasive, omnipotent, eternal bless this place, this time and all living beings.

2.      May the Goddess, queen of the earth, and the God, horned hunter of the Sun, and the Lady of the Moon, our wise Grandmother, bless this place, this time, and all living beings.

3.      May the powers of the Spirits of the Stones, rulers of the elemental realms bless this place, this time, and all living beings.

4.      May the powers of the stars above and the earth below bless this place, this time, and all living beings.

D. Invocation: Since we are of the earth that is where we will begin.) All:  The fire is lit; the ritual is begun, in love and peace....

1.      Oh Great Spirit, the Nameless one of many names, eternal and ever changing one,

2.      Who is found nowhere but appears everywhere, beyond and within all,

3.      Timeless circle of the seasons, unknowable mystery known by all,

4.      Known as Lord of the Dance, Mother of all Life,  be radiant within us, engulf us with your love.

All.  See with our eyes, hear with our ears, breath with our nostrils, touch with our hands, kiss with our lips…Oh Great Spirit open our hearts that we may live free at last, joyful in the single song of all that is, was, ever shall be.

E. Charge of the Moon:

1.      Moon, Sister and Grandmother, shining so high, smile down upon me, full face in the sky.

2.      Moon, Sister and Grandmother, with your silver glow, whisper your secrets.  Tell us what you know.

3.      Moon, Sister and Grandmother, with your moonbeams, heal our bodies, minds and souls.

F. Song: Heal the Mother

1.       There’s a grief that’s deep within my soul.  I’m letting it out, I’m letting it go.

2.       A torrent of tears running into the sea. I’m letting it out, I’m letting it go.

3.       Heal the Mother; let is all out. Heal your Mother; let it all go. Heal yourself; let it all go.

4.       There’s a rage that boils within my veins. I’m letting it out, I’m letting it go.

5.       Volcano blows, and the lave flows.  I’m letting it out, I’m letting it go.

6.       There’s a fear that trembles deep within. I’m letting it out, I’m letting it go.

7.       Earthquakes moving everything around. I’m letting it out, I’m letting it go.

8.       Until my mind, body and soul are healed, filled with love and peace.

9.       Anoint me with your Moon Water.

(Leader anoint each participant with “Moon Water” )

G. Healing Session: Go around the circle, giving each member an opportunity to be healed by the group.  Use crystals corresponding to each Chakra and channel healing light while singing Hara-Hara.

H. Affirmation: Powerful Woman. (ALL)

·         I am a powerful woman, I am. I connect with myself in everything. I am a powerful woman, I am.

·         I am a passionate woman, I am.  I express myself with power and love. I am a passionate woman, I am

·         I am a feeling woman, I am.   I accept all the things expressing through me. I am a feeling woman, I am.

·         I am a loving woman, I am.  I love myself in everyone. I am a loving woman, I am.

·         I am divine woman, I am.  The Goddess is fully awake in me.  I am divine woman, I am.

I. Thanking:

Oh Great Spirit, Goddess, God, and Sister-Grandmother Moon, and Ancient Ones - We thank you for your presence, for your circle, for light and love, for night and change. We ask for your blessing as you depart.  Hail and farewell!  Blessed be!

J.  Releasing the Circle: 

All:  Ancient Ones of the West, South, East, and North, hail and farewell. We give thanks for your presence here.  Go in power.

K.  Closing: Merry Meet and Merry Part 

1. By the air that is Her breath,

2. By the fire of her bright spirit,

3. By the waters of her womb,

4. By the earth that is her body,

5. Our circle is open, Yet unbroken.  

   All:  May the peace, love, and joy of the Goddess be ever in our hearts.
Merry meet and merry part and merry meet again. Blessed be!
