Enochian Tarot The Enochian Tarot by Gerald and Betty Schueler is not a traditional tarot deck. It is based on Enochian Magick as revealed to John Dee, court astrologer to Queen Elizabeth I, by a group of Angels. This deck reflects the landscape of Dee's magical universe as described in his notes. The cards are numbered from 1 to 86 and are divided into two sections. The major arcana cards (1-30) represent thirty heavenly regions called Aethyrs or Aires and their cosmic forces. Each card has a number, an Enochian language name and a descriptive name. Cards 31-86 are the minor arcana divided into four elemental planes (suits) named for the four elements. The court cards for each suit are the King and the six Seniors. The other suit cards show the different angelic ranks. The artist is Sally Ann Glassman who also illustrated the New Orleans Voodoo Tarot. The instruction book describes the Enochian tarot system and ways to use it (128 pages). This deck was originally published in 1989.
