Fantastical Tarot

The mood of the Fantastical Tarot is that of a dark dreamscape. Artist Nathalie Hertz has created images that seem to open a door into the more inaccessible regions of the psyche. The men and women of this deck are gaunt with angular features and deepset, blackened eyes. Backgrounds are usually dark so that the scenes on the cards appear to be of the night. The Fantastical Tarot is traditional in the names of the major arcana, court cards and suits. The Pages are depicted as women and the Knights as warriors. The borders are a muted metallic gold. Nathalie Hertz is also the creator of the new Vampire Tarot.
