Renaissance Tarot Jane Lyle's Renaissance Tarot draws on the culture and philosophy of the Renaissance period. The artist is Helen Jones, known for her distinctive 3-dimensional style rich with texture and color. The symbols and other design elements appear to be cast in metal. The cards have traditional names and suits. Each suit has been assigned a certain color background: wands=red, pentacles=green, swords=purple and cups=blue. The court cards are half human/half creature. The creature reflects the element associated with the suit. Many numbered suit cards feature an androgenous, faceless figure of gold. This figure interacts with the suit symbols in ways that reflect each card's meaning. The Renaissance Tarot only comes as a deck/book set with The Renaissance Tarot by Lyle (191 pages). Lyle is also the creator of the Lover's Tarot and Fortune Teller's Deck.
