Stick Figure Tarot Lar de Souza created the Stick Figure Tarot in 1999 as a novelty Christmas present for friends. Because of printing costs, he ran off a few extra decks and decided to offer them to the public. He's been delighting tarot fans with his creation ever since. The Stick Figure Tarot captures the essence of the familiar Rider-Waite Tarot images and presents them in deceptively simple line drawings. As de Souza says with a touch of humor, this deck "has all the essential symbology without the distractions of gorgeous artwork." The cards are printed on fairly sturdy, but uncoated paper stock, so that care would be needed during card handling. The deck comes shrink-wrapped, but not contained in a box.
