The Witches Tarot The Witches Tarot was created by Ellen Cannon Reed to "express traditional ideas of tarot with ... traditional Qabalistic symbolism, in a way that would appeal to paganfolk and others." The images by artist Martin Cannon are bright with a luminous clarity. The people in the deck are usually beautiful and wear either no clothes, robes or other medieval-style dress. There are no borders on the cards. Each suit has a color theme: Wands = yellow, Cups = blue, Swords = Red and Pentacles = Green. All the court cards of a certain type (for example, all the kings) are similar. In Reed's system, court cards in readings do not have a specific meaning of their own: they modify the next card dealt. The Witches Tarot is also available as a boxed set with The Witches Tarot also by Reed (320 pages). This book discusses the Qabalistic Tree of Life, pathworking and other ways to use the Witches Tarot.
