How to Meditate
Find a quiet space. Sit comfortably, loosen any binding clothing.
Take in several deep breaths, and with each exhalation, release any worries, anxieties or residual negative thoughts.
Either -
1) Light a candle and watch it's flame dance, focusing solely on the flame until your eyes become relaxed or
2) Watch your breath, slowly and inhaling and exhaling, until your breath becomes smooth and quiet.
Slowly bring your awareness to the space between your eyes, just above your eyebrows. This is your third eye or spiritual eye.
While keeping your inner focus on your spiritual eye, visualize pure love and healing light energy being channeled from the Universe or Great Spirit, through your physical being, from your mind and heart, into the minds and hearts of other living beings.
Visualize love, kindness, compassion, and healing energy expanding out from your being into the minds and hearts of other beings.
Send this pure love, this healing, this divine energy to loved ones, significant others, to family and friends, to your community, nation, other nations, to the planet, and out into the universe, finding the hearts of all those in need.
Visualize the light flowing out into the universe. Feel yourself flowing with it, flowing out, out, deeper and deeper, into the universe...the universe which is God...
Slowly open your eyes. Offer the fruits of your meditation to the Great Spirit.
